I recently attended the kick-off meeting for a new $1.1M project I’m involved in – ‘Advancing the genomic revolution of species delimitation’ – held in Oulu, Finland. The project is led by Marko Mutanen at the University of Oulu and will investigate the application of emergent genomic tools (e.g. Anchored Hybrid Enrichment) for species delimitation — to move the field of taxonomy into the genomic era. See a small media release on the project/meeting here.
